Paul and Cooper - Urban Eggs

Paul Glowaski is an educator, writer, preservationist, and farmer proud to follow in the traditions of his family members. Paul has worked on farms in Kentucky, at the Center for Agroecology and Sustainable Food Systems at UCSC, and at Pie Ranch. Now, as Farm Director of the Homeless Garden Project—a two-acre market farm in Santa Cruz that trains low-income and homeless community members in sustainable agriculture while simultaneously running a 70-member CSA—Paul has melded his passions for economic, social, ecological, and food justice.

Cooper Funk is a farmer and carpenter in Oakland. With a background in earth sciences, he maintains a deep interest in holistic land management. He has worked at UC Santa Cruz’s Center for Agroecology and Sustainable Food Systems (CASFS) and at Pie Ranch in Pescadero, CA, where he helped design, implement, and manage their pastured poultry operation.
